And honestly, that tells you quite a bit about him. Freddy isn’t interested in making a big production out of what he does—he simply enjoys working with his hands and creating something beautiful, functional, and built to last.
A proud Marine veteran, father of six, and husband, Freddy has spent nearly three decades working in the oil industry. Through the long hours, demanding schedules, and the beautifully controlled chaos of raising a large family, leatherwork has remained something that is entirely his.

Freddy has been working with leather since 1988, steadily developing the skill, patience, and attention to detail that can be seen in every Lopez Leather Co. piece. From wallets and wristlets to totes, crossbodies, tally books, keychains, and completely custom creations, each item is handcrafted one at a time using quality materials and traditional techniques.

No two pieces are exactly alike. Every hide has its own markings, every stitch is placed by hand, and every finished item carries a little of the maker who created it.
